The Interstate Documentary Project

Working Title: Before the Curtain Rises- The Story of a Texas Theater Empire

Progress: To date, the project has conducted a series of on-camera interviews with some of the pioneers of the Interstate Theatre company, theater historians and preservationists, and personalities with an interest in theatres and connection to Interstate such as playwright Horton Foote, MPAA President Jack Valenti, and entertainer Rita Moreno. Footage of three of the largest theaters has also been shot: The Dallas Majestic, The San Antonio Majestic, and the El Paso Plaza.

Projected Completion Date: January 2007.
