Gary began shooting film and video in 1973 when he took his first
job as a television news photographer at KENS in San Antonio , Texas
. He later worked in the same capacity in Dallas/Fort Worth at KXAS
and WFAA. In 1981 Watson left the television news business and moved
to Houston where he worked on commercial, documentary, corporate and
feature film productions as a director of photography. He has developed
an international list of clients including the BBC, NOVA, and the Discovery
Channel.
In 1993 Watson formed Roadster Productions, Inc. and produced Inside
the Octagon, a feature-length documentary history of the M.G. Car
Company. More recently, he created a series of theatrically released short
documentary films called Lone Stars, developed in conjunction
with, and screened at, the Landmark Theatre chain. |
