Documentary Alliance programs will be presented to the American public through television, home video, the Internet, schools, and by partnering with other nonprofit organizations. Primary to its mission will be the production of documentary films that will air on PBS (primetime national PBS = 150 million viewers) and educational cable networks.

After their television premiere, programs will be distributed to schools on VHS and/or DVD accompanied by a teacher’s guide that offers suggestions for integrating their educational content into classroom curriculum. The documentary films will be further enhanced by the creation of companion multimedia programs such as CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and Web Sites that will expand the stories and create additional historical context in a self-paced, interactive format.
